Visceral Bodywork: Workshop Details
Friday-Saturday, June 13-14, 2023 (9am-6pm)
Instructor: Marty Morales, Certified Advanced Rolfer®, CMT, founder of The Morales Method® of Manual Therapy and Body Conditioning
Program Description: In this 2-day class we'll explore Visceral Bodywork from a unique approach. We'll discuss how embryological development and our motor development in early childhood influence the inherent motility of the viscera. We'll then utilize the planes of movement and specific palpation to create a strategy to restore and facilitate the motility of six different organs!
Our understanding is that by seeking to improve their natural range of motion may aid in more functional movement in the territory in which the organ resides and we hope resulting in a more functional movement for the body overall. This information is rarely taught in this accessible format for manual therapists! Students will know how to palpate and work the viscera with confidence in their practice at the end of this two-day workshop.
